Role overview: As part of GreySpark's FinTech practice, you will join a team of specialist consultants, focusing on Financial Technology and the broader banking innovation space. The team works with clients on research and analysis, due diligence, market scanning, post-MandA integration, product development strategy and roadmap development. You will also get the chance to work with our FinTech team on the development of tools that help to synthesize key market findings and insights leveraging GreySpark's global expertise.

GreySpark's continuous dialogue with FinTech companies enables it to cultivate a complete ecosystem of innovators and therefore develop an intimate understanding of products and key market trends. We have demonstrated our knowledge and strong expertise in advising clients from all sides across the Capital Markets industry to help them stay abreast of technology adoption, new technologies that are being developed and assist them in challenging projects. GreySpark's FinTech team has developed proprietary models for market sizing and growth forecasting. These models are currently developed and maintained in Excel. As the FinTech team continues to grow and service more clients, the models need to be industrialised in an enterprise-grade application with a pythonR backend.

This is an opportunity to get exposure to the vibrant Capital Markets FinTech sector in London. There will be a high degree of autonomy in the design, development and implementation of application(s) with the potential to have a real impact on the business and clients. The internship is a great introduction to GreySpark and a pathway to a potential full-time offer.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership and development of applications in pythonR of GreySpark's proprietary market sizing and growth forecasting models
• Advise and assist leading private equity funds on MandA transactions in the financial technology space
• Take part in building GreySpark's Financial Technology practice globally, including the development of new products and service offerings.
• Coordinate work with other teams across GreySpark worldwide
• Liaising with service line teams, functional specialists and area partners to support client development initiatives

Desired skills and requirements:

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Technology or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience in developing applications in pythonR
• Experience in working with relational databases and SQL
• Background in working with Excel
