Our Graduate Schemes
The GDF is our two year scheme which develops people who are passionate about and show great potential in their chosen field. Inspired engineering is the foundation of our business. With over 18,000 engineers in the UK, we support professional accreditation and have opportunities in a wide range of engineering disciplines including (but not limited to) civil, electrical, manufacturing, naval architecture, research, software and systems. However, it takes more than engineering excellence to deliver our customer commitments. That's why we're continually on the lookout for people who can add real value to our business in Business Development, Commercial, Human Resources, Information Technology, Procurement and Project Management.
BAE Systems Applied Intelligence offers approximately 120 positions each year in a range of programming, data analytics, electronic engineering and consultancy roles, with salaries starting at £28,000. Over the next 18 months or so you will have the opportunity to participate in a range of modules to further enhance your skills base and contribute to driving our world-class reputation in developing innovative, cutting edge solutions.
FLDP is our five year fast-track graduate scheme, which seeks to prepare individuals to become Finance Directors of the future within our organisation, through an accelerated programme of training and practical experience. The programme includes a structured and fully supported route to the highly respected Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification. It will also equip you with all the leadership and management skills necessary to become one of the finance function's senior leaders.
Sigma is our three year fast-track leadership programme created for people of the very highest potential. With only a few places available each year, it's unique, quick paced and aimed at giving individuals a breadth and depth of knowledge across multiple business areas. There are two streams within the programme; business and engineering. Each is tailored to ensure that you develop the core skills and behaviours to be an engineering or business leader of the future.

Our Undergraduate Schemes
12-month Industrial Placements
If you have the talent, now is the time to prove it. We have approximately 60 one-year placements available each year and all offer you the chance to develop new skills and gain valuable industry experience in the real world.
12-week Summer Internships
It's the best way to put theory into practice. A Summer Internship at BAE Systems gives you a real insight into working life in one of our UK businesses, while honing your skills. Our internships provide on-the-job training within a structured framework. We only offer these placements when there is real work to be completed, with over 100 placements available each year.
What are we looking for?
To join our Summer Internship scheme or our one year Industrial Placement scheme you must be on course to achieve, at least a 2:1 Bachelor's degree. This can be in any subject for our business or finance opportunities and must be in an engineering, technical, numerical or scientific subject for our consultancy, engineering or technical delivery placements. For our finance placements, you also need 280 UCAS points (or equivalent)
