Transport for Wales Graduate Scheme
Role: Finance Graduate
Location: Pontypridd
At Transport for Wales (TfW), we have big plans to transform the Welsh transport network. It's our vision to connect communities, create jobs and make travel across Wales and the borders more accessible than ever. That's where you come in.
As a Finance graduate, you'll blend formal learning with practical experience. As part of TfW's in-house finance provision, you'll gain a real understanding of what it takes to succeed in this specialism. You'll support the effective delivery of our finance activities. And you'll do it while furthering your own academic development.
You'll contribute and manage various projects, sometimes simultaneously. So you'll be organised and plan your time sensibly. You'll spend time with different areas of the finance team, including pensions, consolidations and internal audit. In each department, you'll deliver projects in line with time, cost and quality demands.
Throughout this two-year course, you'll work towards achieving a professional qualification. As part of your learning, you'll take part in six practical development workshops and four webinar sessions. Plus, you'll combine your academic and practical learning to deliver a personal project that contributes to TfW.
As you'll be working with various teams, fellow graduates and stakeholders, you'll be great at communicating. And you'll enjoy working collaboratively. You'll show real financial acumen, and be confident about sharing ideas. Plus, you'll identify any project risks and flag these early.
To apply, your mathematical competency will be evidenced by a relevant degree. Work or volunteering experience in a related field is desirable, as are Welsh language skills. If you've got a head for numbers and you're keen to develop your skills, we want to hear from you.
