We have an exciting opportunity for an Allocator to join our growing Merchandising team.
The Perfume Shop is known for its dynamic and progressive nature within the health and beauty industry. Trading since 1992, the Company's acquisition in 2005 by the world's largest health and beauty retailer, the A.S. Watson group, has increased our prominence in the beauty industry in the retail sector.
We are currently seeking an individual with a keen interest in working within Merchandising, to support our Merchandising team. We are looking for people who are passionate about working in Retail, dedicated to driving our business forward and above all, excited about their future within The Perfume Shop.
The purpose of this role is to Support the Merchandising team with planning, trading and product capability in line with the Merchandising and business strategy.
Key duties include:
- Responsible for the raising of Purchase Orders for all of our stock, ensuring the delivery of all orders and processing changes to any agreed delivery dates
- Identify any supply chain issues and deal with proactively
- Produce monthly sales reports and analysis for the monthly sales meeting
- Allocate appropriate quantities of stock to stores in line with the Buying and Merchandising strategy
- Respond to all stock queries from stores
- Manage any price changes
- Update our system information for all deals and promotions
- Conduct ad-hoq store stock reporting, as required
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by Line Manager.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Degree level qualification or relevant retail experience is essential
- Good MS Office skills, particularly in Excel is essential
- Previous experience of having produced detailed reports and other written materials
Person Specification
This role would ideally suit a highly organised individual with a pragmatic approach to problem solving, who already has an interest in working within Merchandising. They will be a confident communicator with strong numerical skills and be naturally commercially minded.
