Graduate Trainee Commodities Broker

The Company:

An independent commodities brokerage that operates across markets on a global scale.

The Role:

You will join as a trainee broker, initially supporting senior brokers and heads of desks. You can expect to build relationships, develop deep market knowledge and gain the contacts required for you to become a major player in the Broking space.  

What Will I Be Doing?

Initially you will be given time to learn the markets and gain and understanding of how Broking work. You will undertake extensive market research allowing you to conduct regular communication with clients, Banks and trading houses assisting with market movements, tracking and  execution. 

Will I Get Training? 

Yes. You can expect to work alongside senior brokers and managers allowing you to absorb decades of market experience. Alongside this you will receive formal classroom training allowing you to prepare and pass regulatory exams. You can also expect support to gain relevant industry qualifications 

What We Are Looking For:

We will consider applications from all degree backgrounds, however due to the nature of the role an high level of numeracy is essential, therefore applications from Numerate and Stem degree backgrounds are preferred. In addition you should:

- Want to work in a client facing role that will see you build and develop relationships on a daily basis

- Enjoy negotiation, and can see opportunity

- Enjoy data driven analysis and research

- Have experience in sales based activity. 

- Be driven with a desire to overcome challenges and adversity.
