A leading medical technology supplier of innovative medical devices.
This graduate software engineering scheme at a leading medical devices company will see you working on rotations of approximately six months each during your first two years with the business.
The company makes state-of-the-art life-saving medical devices to treat terminal illnesses, so you will be genuinely making a difference to many people's lives with your work.
You will gain exposure to low level control systems coding, mainly with C++, but there are also opportunities to work on software development in C# .Net and user interface development. It all depends on your skills and interests, and where they see your career progressing most effectively.
Salary progression is excellent and you will receive regular salary increases until you finish the scheme, at which point you will achieve a minimum of £42k.
Responsibilities:
- Software development with C++ and C#
- Software testing
- Object oriented software design
- Low-level embedded programming
- Working as part of fast-paced agile teams
- DevOps responsibilities
- Containerisation
- Virtualisation
Requirements:
- 2.1 or above (or equivalent) in electrical and electronics engineering, computer science, software engineering or related
- A keen interest in coding - the particular languages are not important. You could be an electronics engineering graduate with strong C or C++, or a computer science graduate with strong Java, for example
- Extra-curricular activities are a big bonus, to show that you are proactive and can interact well with people
- Available to start work in September
