Graduate Bid Writer - Hertfordshire - ASAP - £25K+ DOE
What is a bid writer? A bid writer is someone who is responsible for conducting research around topic areas and completing tenders in order to secure new contracts. Bid writing is a fantastic career for someone with strong writing skills and an interest in business.
In this role you need a logical mindset, strong writing capabilities and the ability to research around a given topic. No two bids are the same, you work as part of a team and you could be helping to write a tender to secure a contract worth anywhere from £50K to £60million.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Reviewing requirements for pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ's), including writing answers and coordinating work with your line manager. Think of this part as a qualification of the tender
- Tender submissions that include: reviewing submissions, coordinating with the wider team, arranging launch meetings, conducting market research, writing answers for the tender, logistics and tender review. Furthermore, this includes creating content and page layouts for submission using Adobe Creative Suite
- You could also be involved in some marketing, social media and website development
- You will learn from an experienced team and progress upwards in this role quickly
What do You Need?
- Strong writing capabilities, perhaps from a degree such as English, History or Journalism, although they are open
- Strong attention to detail
- Deadline driven
- Exposure to Adobe packages such as InDesign would be a bonus, but not essential
