This company is a well-established software house which specialises in creating software for the HR and Payroll sector.
Job:
You will be working as an AI developer, designing and deploying AI powered tools that streamline internal operations, automate repetitive processes and improve efficiency across departments.
You’ll take ownership of how use Large Language Models (LLMs), including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and embedding-based search, are used to solve real-world business challenges.
You won’t just build solutions you’ll lead change. This role blends hands-on technical implementation with internal education, training and enablement. You’ll work closely with teams across the business to help them understand, adopt, and benefit from AI in their daily workflows, making a tangible impact on how the company operates.
Day-to-Day Duties to include:
- AI development design, prototype, and deploy AI-powered internal tools, particularly those leveraging LLMs. Develop and maintain pipelines using RAG, embedding models, vector databases, and LLM APIs. Integrate AI systems with existing internal platforms and workflows

Ideally you will be happy to work in their offices in Newcastle however they are happy to consider those who can work flexibly on the proviso that you could commit to 2 or 3 days a month in office.
Skills:
Degree level education (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
Either some relevant post grad work experience or university placement experience in any of the following:
- Building LLMs
- Prompt Engineering
- Vector Scores
- RAG Design
- Solid Python development skills, exposure to Azure or AWS.
