Job Profile:
Due to continued growth, CGG are expanding their UK Subsurface Imaging Department and are currently looking to recruit bright and enthusiastic graduates to join us as a Graduate Geophysicist.
As a recognised leader in data processing, this is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to utilise their analytical and problem solving skills in an essential phase of oil and gas exploration.
CGG offers processing solutions for land, marine, multicomponent and sea bed and we use state of the art technology to emit sound waves into the subsurface of the earth, which interact with the geology.
The role of our Graduate Geophysicist's is to interpret these reflected signals and carry out a series of complex processing stages; turning these raw recordings into detailed images of the subsurface.
Throughout their training, our Graduates work closely with Project Leaders and Team Leaders, receiving guidance which enables them to learn new techniques, understand and perform the vital stages of seismic data processing and deliver projects efficiently.
Required Education and Experience:
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any other related technical degree.
Strong maths skills are essential, as well as fantastic problem solving abilities, great attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Demonstrable team working and presentations skills will also be required in for this role, as well as good time management and the ability to organise and prioritise your workload.
