The Graduate Recruitment Bureau is a specialist recruitment consultancy designed to meet the needs of students and graduates looking for wider career options leading to employment.
Established by two graduates in 1996 the company identified a niche and embarked on an ambitious business plan. It wasn't a new idea but we had a new approach. Close liaison with universities, students, graduates and employers has seen the company grow rapidly with more and more students and graduates finding work with our clients.
By concentrating 100% on student and graduate recruitment and being managed by graduates the company quickly developed unique expertise in finding people work. Word of mouth continues to drive traffic to our website and we now have thousands of candidates registered and employers ranging from small, medium, blue chip, charity and public sector organisations. Our NEW website enables students to register to hear about vacancies through email, see useful advice on careers and search for vacancies online.
In 2009 the GRB created an advertising business model to capitalise on the success of our website and candidate database. We offer a range of advertising solutions from vacancy postings and banners through to HTML e-marketing solutions. Still in its infancy our advertising solutions have already proven to give a better return on investment for our clients than our competitors' similar services.
To develop and expand our advertising model we are looking for an experienced sales person. The role will suit an ambitious individual who is looking to make a real difference to an organisation.
The role involves developing relationships with media buyers and key accounts to maximise GRB's advertising revenues while working alongside GRB's senior management to ensure uniformity of service with the recruitment division. Based in Brighton, the role is telephone based and client facing, and requires excellent business development, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
The role offers a competitive basic salary, depending on experience, and an excellent commission package - substantially better than the industry average. Career progression can lead into sales management.

Requirements:
- Proven success within a target driven sales environment is essential! (Ideally 6 months experience +)
- Must possess strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Prior advertising or marketing experience is prefered
- A strong level of interest and knowledge of e-marketing, and marketing for business will be a distinct
advantage
- Excellent communication skills - The highest standards of verbal and written English
- Ability to think strategically
- The ability to build rapport, and maintain long lasting relationships with key decision-makers within target
companies
- We will consider graduates with a 2.1 or above in any discipline, although a related element is preferable.
- Candidates should be IT savvy, and have a strong grasp of technology and the internet.
