A leading professional services firm with offices across the UK and the globe. They offer graduates employment opportunities across many business areas.
Transfer pricing is one the most rapidly increasing tax issues in most countries. It is an area of tax that requires high level knowledge of tax, commercial law, accounting and business practice.
Transfer pricing applies to goods and services, as well as to intangibles and financial transactions such as licenses, loans and guarantees. There is no area of business in which you won't be involved. You will help multi-national organisations set the prices at which they trade within their group and then help them to defend their practices and policies when they're audited by the tax authority side - or at both ends - of the transaction.
As well as the compliance element, Transfer Pricing is also one of the best tax planning tools now available. Much of your work will be aimed at helping companies to make investment decisions based on after-tax cost. By including the tax burden as another cost of doing business, management can optimise earnings per share, share price and shareholder value.
During your first year you will analyse markets and industries, and deploy financial analysis techniques to evaluate company performance. You will also have the option to work towards a range of professional qualifications including the ACA.
