This company designs and manufactures sensors used to collect data from the built and natural environment. They use technology such as the Internet of Things and M2M to create wireless, dynamic sensor networks, to keep people safe and allow construction work to flow smoothly.
They are fortunate enough to sell to over 50 countries. Their largest markets are the UK, Europe, Middle East and Far East, allowing their staff to travel and interact with people from different cultures and work on exciting projects all over the world.
With an annual turnover in excess of £13 million, this company is looking for a talented graduate to hit the ground running in their head office at Bury St Edmunds.
You will be dealing with a variety of customers using sophisticated products. Your typical responsibilities will include:
- Enquiry Handling
The majority of their business is from inbound enquiries, often from existing customers. It is critical that you are good at qualifying these enquiries. You will need to focus your efforts and use your sales skills on the right enquiries to maximise sales.
- Account Management
Building and developing relationships with existing customers to grow our business. You will be the point of contact and will make sure they receive an exceptional level of service.
- Sales Pipeline Management
Developing the sales pipeline to achieve maximum secured orders for the company. This will involve identifying suitable enquiries and applying your sales skills to secure the order.
- Territory Management
All sales people have overseas accounts, so you will need to develop and implement a strategy to maximise sales in that region.
The basic salary is circa £25-27K and will be £35K if personal and company objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Fast learner and passion for sales
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Competitive and ambitious
- Commercial awareness
- Some understanding or aptitude for technical issues
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, and an ability to build relationships
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Valid UK driving licence
