What Will You Be Doing?

Over the course of this 18-month graduate programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience as a key member of an Underwriting team within a fast-paced and specialist insurance environment. You’ll contribute to the development and delivery of underwriting solutions across a variety of product lines, including motor fleet, commercial insurance, and international property insurance and reinsurance.

You’ll be part of a team that’s focused on delivering thoughtful, long-term solutions to clients and trading partners. In addition to your core underwriting experience, you’ll gain exposure to essential support functions such as compliance, finance, and human resources, and collaborate with colleagues across the UK, Europe, and the United States.

Throughout the programme, you’ll benefit from a comprehensive training and development framework, including:

  • Training & Development: Interactive workshops to build technical and soft skills
  • Mentorship: Access to a dedicated mentor and an internal buddy for guidance and support to help you settle in and guide you through your development programme
  • Learning and Volunteering Events: Regular ‘Lunch & Learn’ with industry experts and a volunteering day to offer help to those in local communities via our Summer of Service programme

What Are We Looking For?

  • Education: Achieved or on track for a 2:1 degree (in any discipline), and attained GCSE in Maths and English – grade 4 (C) or above
  • Start Date: Available from 6th October 2025
  • Communication Skills: Confident in building relationships and networking from day one
  • Curiosity & Drive: No prior insurance experience needed—we’ll provide the knowledge; you bring the enthusiasm!
  • Creative and collaborative – an independence that makes you think and approach things differently. You seize opportunities and make things happen
  • Client focused – prioritises customers’ needs, delivers solutions that put the customer first
