The magnitude of this importance was accentuated by the current pandemic, which led companies to accelerate their adoption of solutions rapidly derived by their own digital transformations. Despite its importance, skills in digital transformation are scarce, and this field is considered a niche, with a huge demand for talent in the job market.
To fulfil the need for specialists with digital transformation skills, this program aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to lead and drive digital transformation initiatives in various industries.
In collaboration with IMB, this program:
- Offers a well-rounded curriculum that covers business and technical aspects of digital transformation, from digital transformation strategy to innovation & design thinking to prominent digital transformation technologies.

Master of Mechatronic Engineering
This course aims to address the application of fundamental principles and methods at an advanced level in the context of standards and practices, modelling, analysis, design and practical implementation. You will focus on current advances in the area such as microcontrollers, nanotechnologies, control systems, sensors and actuators and electro-mechanical interfacing. You will work with automated systems that feature computer control, such as robots, automobiles and CNC machines.

Master of Business Analytics
The Master of Business Analytics (MBAS) is designed to prepare students to develop solid skills in data analytics. The program is taught as a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises in the ‘Business Analytics Lab’ using state-of-the-art data science and analytics software. The program incorporates subjects covering cutting-edge data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) tools and techniques using industry-standard software like Statistical Analysis and Systems (SAS) Viya, Structured Query Language (SQL) and Python through Jupyter Notebooks. Upon completion of the program, all students get an Advanced Professional Certification from SAS, as a part of the SAS Joint Certification Program.
Master of Financial Management
This program aims to develop general finance knowledge and analytical skills to enhance decision-making in the corporate environment. It provides a hands-on, immersive financial management experience and will help students deepen their understanding of industry trends, develop global market insights and introduce new skills relevant to the future of finance. Master of Innovation & Entrepreneurship

The course schools budding and fledgling entrepreneurs and guide them through the process of starting their own businesses or leading innovation projects within existing companies. Students will have the opportunity to participate in incubators and accelerators, both regionally, for example through our collaboration with Dubai Future Foundation University Entrepreneurship Program and Dubai SME, as well as globally through participation in international bootcamps.
Master of Human Resource Management
This program is designed for aspiring HR leaders who wish to develop competencies in strategic human resource management by aligning human capital with the future of work. Through a theoretical and applied focus, students will undertake an in-depth examination of key themes including talent acquisition and retention, change management, learning and development, managing performance in a digitised economy, AI and advanced HR analytics. Graduates automatically become CIPD Associate Members (Level 7) with the possibility to upgrade to Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow status. Doctor of Philosophy in Business (PhD)
Our four-year PhD program develops candidates’ ability to independently design and execute original, high impact and world-class research that generates new knowledge in high-priority areas. The first-year coursework component equips students with the necessary skills to undertake the three-year thesis component. UOWD provides an ideal research environment through its faculty-student research collaborations, which are primed to achieve research excellence.
