Wealth Management Summer Work Experience Programme

The Opportunity

We are offering students invaluable learning through our 2-week Summer Work Experience Programme which acts as a stepping stone towards our Graduate Academy in Scotland once you’ve finished your studies.

What will I be doing?

Over the course of 2 weeks students will spend time with colleagues within Investment Management and Financial Planning across both our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.  You will gain insight into the wealth management industry and Rathbones, learning from our people at all levels, from trainees to senior management. You will also have the opportunity to work on a case study project, gaining insight into how we work with and for our clients, building your employability skills along the way.

Programme Dates:

• Duration: 2 weeks
• Date: 10^th to 21^st August 2026
• Location: Week 1 of the programme will take place in our Edinburgh office. Week 2 of the programme will take place in our Glasgow office. Reasonable travel costs will be reimbursed.
• Allowance:  A £25 per day allowance will be paid on completion of the programme to support any additional expenses incurred, such as lunch.

What do I need?

We’re looking for students currently in their penultimate year of university, who are on course for a 2:1 in any discipline.
