Flexible 3 Month Term Summer internship 2016

Culture Stories is looking for a part-time Photography Intern with a keen interest, skill and eye for photography and curating beautiful images. You will be asked to take photographs as well as to creatively curate concepts for photography. An interest in art, culture and travel are essential. The selected candidate will work with support from our Visual Assets Manager and Graphic Designer. This is a hands-on role that involves both some product photography and photography to accompany creative editorial content. Skills in video creation and production are a plus. The Photography intern will play a key role in the Culture Stories team. This is an unpaid internship with a small stipend paid for lunch and transport expenses.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Photographing commercial digital images and creative digital images

- Ensuring that images are photographed correctly, efficiently and creatively

- Ensuring images are correctly exposed and colour consistent

- Preparing set, checking equipment is functioning, setting up appropriate lighting

- Working with the Graphic Designer and Fashion Intern on image selection

- Cropping and processing images when necessary

- Accompanying style and culture writers on creative projects around London

- Meeting personal targets and daily and weekly deadlines

- Supporting a small, super-dedicated team
