Medical Law Internship

A vacancy for a strong character , wanting to gain experience of Claimant Clinical, Cosmetic and Dental Negligence in a busy specialised Solicitors Office. The intern will assist the Head of the Department to set up a specialist cancer negligence unit and develop an existing and thriving birth injuries unit.

Suitable candidates are likely to be graduates with either significant medico- legal exposure in their degree either LLB or LLM but others will be considered or marketing, business management graduates who can demonstrate commitment to working in the legal sector. The role will involve significant market research, website content drafting and management, administration and planning . The end result should be a fully supported unit which is effectively presented, marketed and has the appropriate administrative architecture in place to support. Interns will be familiar with or will be willing to learn the process of complex clinical negligence litigation. The learning curve will be steep.

It is envisaged that bi weekly office contact will be necessary but the successful candidate may well be able to work remotely after a period of initial familiarisation - to be agreed with our existing Marketing Manager and the Head of Litigation subject to Health and Safety Requirements.

Reasonable expenses will be paid, however, it is envisaged that candidates are likely to be local to West Yorkshire or environs.
