This company is a dynamic, entrepreneurial, technical recruitment business in central Brighton, who boasts modern offices in the North Laines. The Director has over 14 years' recruitment experience within the Telecommunications Recruitment market, and has already founded and sold a successful business which turned over £17m in 2010. The growth policy of the business focuses on hiring smart, ambitious graduates and training them up to be successful high-earning Recruitment Consultants.
You will be reporting to the company Director who will provide a wealth of expertise and training, and in return will expect you to work on your own initiative as well as in a team.
Initially you will be solely focused on identifying and attracting technical candidates, often Engineers, for a number of positions. You will utilise the company database as well as researching on networking sites, job boards and also some advertising, with a view to speaking to these candidates on the phone. Within weeks you will be looking to engage with business decision makers and managing business accounts.
The company offers a very competitive and simple commission structure, and with the volume of jobs that already need filling you could easily earn commission as early as the second month. The basic salary is £17k and graduates have genuinely earned anywhere between £35-60k in year one. Those in their second year are all in the £50-85k annual salary range.
Progression to full Recruitment Consultant status is dependent on your ability but should be swift. These are really exciting times and graduates that joined the business less than two years ago are already starting to manage their own teams.
They are keen to see candidates who are well-rounded, ideally well-travelled (though not essential) and down-to-earth. This is a very fast-paced research and sales career with fantastic rewards in the way of commission and fun incentives. You will need to be genuinely driven and motivated to work hard, learn a lot about their clients and engage with them.
Intelligence and good communication skills are key. Sales experience is not required but can help; the role has less focus on sales than nearly all recruitment roles available. Evidence of ability to learn quickly, stand out from the crowd, real achievements, competitive spirit, drive and determination are key to being successful with this company.
