The Company
An exciting opportunity to work for a global company who design and manufacture a wide range of photonic products. They work across a variety of different industries including life science, medicine, R&D, industrial manufacturing and Aerospace and Defence.
The Role
This role is a great chance for you to develop your technical skills by working alongside experts with over 30 years of experience. You will expect to receive training that is tailored to your needs in order to be a successful Technical Engineer. Your day to day will offer you a variety allowing you to be involved in all stages of the software development process.
You will be:
- Designing, documenting and maintaining in-house engineering software.
- Capturing user requirements and implementing a software solution for the end user.
- Working with a mixture of software development languages and Windows hardware.
- Configuring new PC hardware for engineering users.
Requirements
In return the company is looking for...
- 2:1 level or above in your degree (Physics, Maths, IT and Engineering preferred).
- Strong aptitude to learn and work with a variety of technologies.
- Good problem solving or analytical skills.
- Experience in your degree or own time with one of these languages (C#, VB.Net, CC++, FORTRAN or Java).
- Knowledge of Windows and computer hardware.
- Due to the nature of the business you must be eligible for the highest Security Clearance level by the MoD.
