Graduate Support Engineer

The Company

Based in central Cambridge, this firm is a rapidly growing, very innovative tech firm specialising in software licensing and producing software for the smart home market.

The Role

This firm is looking for an IT generalist to support their rapidly growing firm. You can either be immediately available or free for a June (or later) start.

You will involved in a range of support activities which will include:

• Supporting a user population with vary levels of technical competence.
• Setting up and maintaining windows desktops, Linux virtual machines and Linux servers.

A large part of the role will be user support, solving problems, answering technical queries and interfacing between users and suppliers, raising support tickets for things that are unsolvable at present.

The firm offers an intellectually challenging and FUN environment to work in.

Requirements

• You will need to have excellent problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• You also need to be very enthusiastic and be keen to learn.
• You should have clear and confident communication skills too.

You need to have some exposure to the following:

• Linux ( Including command line skills.
• Windows desktop admin skills.
• Scripting ( Bash, Python).
