Job Description:
Reporting into the national account controller, the role of sales support is a more internal facing role, taking responsibility for the day-to-day administration of retail and food service accounts. As sales support, in time you will be relied upon to become the expert on the accounts you are supporting on from a product, contract, stock and category perspective. Whilst the sales support role is a fundamental requirement within the commercial team, the opportunity for progression still exists for ambitious individuals who possess a desire to succeed and have proven their commitment to the business over a period of time.
Responsibilities To Include:
- Managing contract balances and stock levels
- Weekly sales reports and analysis
- Working closely with procurement on lead times and operations through forecasting and delivery
- Supporting the team with detailed administration of customer tenders
- Benchmarking and sampling requests for customers
- Project management of new product launches and new line forms
- Regular retailer store visits
- Working with the category insight manager reporting on the latest developments and trends within the category
- Supporting with commercial presentations
Progression to national account executive should take 12-18 months.
Profile:
- High levels of oral and written communication
- Strong attention to detail, highly numerate and can interpret data, strong Excel skills
- Relationship-driven
- Office based experience preferred
