The Role
For immediate, Summer and Autumn starters!
Upon joining the Technical Team, you will be involved with a wide range of projects, all with the same aim... to improve software capabilities across the entire organisation.
You will interact with different departments from project to project and contribute to a wide variety of types of software, from business and project planning systems, to geographical mapping software and communications systems.
The role will involve a variety of responsibilities from programming, technical support and working as a technical business analyst. The technical team is small and looks after hundreds of people within the organisation, so you will have early responsibility and the opportunity to get hands on with the systems. The team is well-funded, so there are opportunities to work with and implement cutting-edge technologies.
You will receive the level of support and training you need as a recent graduate.
Responsibilities
- Working on technical projects to improve software systems.
- Analysing technical problems and planning solutions.
- Communicating with various teams within the organisation.
- Programming, to improve and tweak software.
- Providing technical support.
Requirements
- 2.1 equivalent degree is preferred although 2.2 will be considered.
- Degree in Maths, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
- SQL or experience with database technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of programming and keen to improve your skills.
