This Company
This progressive company creates outstanding conferences and exhibitions at an international level and boasts an extremely impressive client list.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with strong research capabilities who would like to kick-start a career in researching, coordinating and producing conferences in the defence industry. You will start as a researcher whilst you learn the ropes, before moving into a conference producer role, after around six months.
Key responsibilities
Research: You will be researching and reporting on market developments in the defence sector, which may include researching geo-political issues, identifying industry contacts and speakers or suggesting new growth areas for events.
Marketing: You will be writing marketing copy and producing content pieces for newsletters.
Project Management: You will act as a project manager for your conference programmes, helping to make sure the event runs smoothly.
Conference production is all about producing the intellectual content of industry conferences. It is not an events management role!
What do you need?
-A 2:1 or predicted (or equivalent) in your degree subject.
-A humanities or research-based degree such as politics, international relations, security, history, classics. English etc would be excellent.
-Any exposure or knowledge of the defence industry would be fantastic but is not required.
