An exciting opportunity with an independent, business-to-business media company that produces global events in a variety of different industries.
A conference producer is the brains behind the events, as they are responsible for the intellectual content that goes into building the key themes and topics for the day, as well as sourcing industry-relevant speakers to attend the events.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying industry trends and patterns via desk-based and phone-based research
- Building commercial relationships with high-profile, industry-leading business executives such as CEOs, managing directors, and senior members of companies
- Working alongside the Sales and Marketing teams to collaborate on ideas for the events
- Writing enticing conference agendas to shape the outline of the day
Why This Role?
Team: You'll be joining a dynamic team of eight other conference producers, sales executives and marketing assistants, reporting to the head of events
Training: This company offer new employees an opportunity to join events workshops to get a better understanding of the role and the industries they work in
Research: Keeping up to date on exciting new trends in the industry and essentially becoming an industry expert on each topic
Travel: The events are held globally including London, Germany, Boston and New York, so there are strong opportunities to travel with this role
Salary: A great starting salary between £22-25K based on relevant experience
What do You Need?
- A 2:1 or above (or equivalent) in a relevant degree subject such as humanities, social sciences, or media and communications
- Other degree subjects will be considered if candidates can demonstrate a strong research ability
- A full driving licence is required for this role due to the location
- Ideally, candidates will have some experience in events, research, editorial or sales; this can be a placement year, work experience or internships
