A global tobacco company with a diverse workforce representing 100 nationalities. They operate in over 100 countries, employ over 25,000 staff globally and are at the forefront of sustainability and technology, making them one of the fastest growing tobacco companies in the world.
This unique role is to work within the government relations team of this global FMCG organisation. The role involves supporting the head of department to carry out stakeholder engagement and analysis of regulatory developments for issues affecting the business. This includes areas such as taxation, laws, emerging products and more. There is also a strong opportunity to be involved on CSR initiatives for the business. The salary on offer is £40-45K.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Developing relationships with political and business stakeholders
- Implementing corporate affairs strategies for key issues
- Monitoring developments in the UK regulatory environment
- Taking responsibility for government relations work
- Representing the company at external events
Requirements:
- A 2:1 level or above in your chosen discipline
- A strong interest in government relations and corporate affairs
- Knowledge of how legislation is passed
- Any experience working within a political party would be a strong bonus
- Relevant commercial experience is ideal
