CPS is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active and personable IT Support Technician to join our professional and focused IT team that provides IT support to our local workforce on 2 sites in the UK as well as supporting our global network of over 500 employees in 17 regional offices around the world. The role is based in our prestigious head office in the centre of Basingstoke, within a short walk from the train station.
Purpose of the role:
This is a highly varied, hands-on role covering all aspects of IT support (120+ users) involving:
- Triage and diagnosis of issues and root cause analysis
- Hardware build and troubleshooting
- Technical administration and support of operational systems, including: Active Directory (Server 2016 and Azure), Exchange and SharePoint Online, Windows 10 and implementing the full Office 365 Suite
As a modern business, efficiency and accessibility of our systems is key and striving for continuous improvement is essential. Therefore, researching potential applications, trialling products and implementing them is an integral part of this role.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- 2:1 in a technological discipline
- Real-world knowledge of Office 365, Windows operating systems (10 and Server) and Cloud based technologies
- Some previous work experience in a customer service environment
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory
- Good understanding of Networking
- Exposure to IT support and triaging issues
- Resolving simple PC hardware faults
