The Role
The Software Implementation Consultant is a highly motivated, self-managing individual, who excels at both taking direction and using critical problem solving skills to define, execute and drive solutions to completion. The position will begin to develop project leadership skills through involvement on client projects, while contributing to corporate goals by participating in a variety of internal process improvement initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Complete specific project deliverables based on client specific requirements
- Conduct product trainings for internal on-boarding processes
- Update internal process and procedure documents
- Assist product development to test new platform features and functionality
- Participate in internal process improvement initiatives
- Manage time efficiently and track individual progress towards performance goals
- Utilise critical problem solving skills to define and execute solutions for internal and external clients
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Project Implementation Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of specifications for external project deliverables
- Work with the client to solve issues related to specific assigned deliverables
- Create report templates in accordance with client requirements and defined best practices
- Configure platform products to meet client business needs
- Assist with conducting product training for external client projects
- Manage individual deliverable deadlines across multiple client projects
- Create project specific documentation
- Communicate and present solutions to clients in a professional manner
Essential Skills:
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to deal professionally and courteously with internal and external contacts
- A real self-starter with the ability to multitask, strong attention to detail and self-motivated willingness to take initiative
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communications skills
- Understanding of concepts of software as a service software lifecycle
- Experience and understanding of scripting or programming languages, SQL and crystal reports desirable
- Have a genuine interest in expanding knowledge and understanding of the fund industry, as well as technical skills on both priority tools and industry standard tools
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Business and financial investment services industry experience is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work in a global, multicultural environment, wherein diplomacy and passion for diversity are paramount
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
- Ability to provide and pass background checks, credit checks, drug screens or fingerprinting based upon client or company requirements
- Willingness to sign certain confidentiality agreements with regard to a client or company's trade secrets and other proprietary information
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week and weekends based on client demands
- Ability to travel internationally
- Ability to escalate issues appropriately to the next level
- Work well with others as an individual contributor
