The Company
A leading player in the roll out of 5G. The provide wireless network across both providing 4G and 5G in over 200 countries. They specilaise in providing secure wireless networking.
The Role
You will be responsible for defining, developing and implementing conceptual and logical data systems, as well as identifying data system requirements, you will also be creating the strategy for the migration of data from existing systems.
This will involve you working closely with existing stakeholders to ensure all data requirements and data policies can be met
The contract will be for 4-6 months
Key duties include:
- Design and implement database solutions to store and retrieve company data.
- Examine and define database structural requirements by working closely with internal data stakeholders.
- Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations and policies.
- Design information systems to manage and administer data systems.
- Prepare design and architecture documentation relating to the proposed data systems.
- Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems.
- Train staff on the proposed data systems.
Essential skills include:
- Five years working in a similar role in a medium or large sized organisation.
- Strong knowledge of database structure systems.
- Experience working with spatial databases or extensions: PostgreSQL with PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, MS SQL Server Spatial, GeoMesa, GeoTrellis
- Technical degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field preferable.
