The Role
This positions reports into the Head of Analytics, who would be expecting you to use your strong quantitative analytical skills to build statistical models in R and use machine learning techniques to derive insights from client data, conduct first level reviews of client deliverable's and deliver training to upskill existing staff in key data science methodology. The breath of the role will also allow engagement within a mind boggling array of studies from understanding whether the UK visa system is fit for purpose and whether the correct tax brackets are being implemented across the country.
As a Data Scientist in this role you will have a great platform to continue the development of your technical capabilities within R and Python, gaining exposure to NLP, machine learning and visualisations whilst also coupling this with leading both a small team and projects alongside blue-chip public sector clientele.
Successful candidates are likely to have:
- Strong programming experience within R or Python
- Demonstrable prowess collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders
- Technical grounding in unsupervised and supervised machine learning
- The ability to coach and guide junior staff in developing their skills
