The Role
Reporting to the Application Support Team Manager, you'll be on hand to assist with the management of incidents and requests and to support all new developments and enhancements through their defined test and release processes.
You will be supporting 30 Applications (many bespoke), where you will be able to learn numerous technical skills on the job, while working with a collaborative team to manage the workload.
This position will provide shift coverage via a weekly rota throughout the hours of 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday, and occasional weekend and evening on-call coverage may be required.
Day-to-day you can expect to be involved in a wide range of tasks, from supporting project managers through the development lifecycle of a project, to producing technical support guides and performing periodic application and system checks.
You will work with Technology teams as necessary communicating any systems software upgrades and patches, and diagnosing any application or system issues, as well as triaging defects, identifying potential fixes and managing incidents through to resolution. You'll also work with stakeholders and the Release Management team to ensure UAT and regression testing is complete for all new enhancements.
Essential skills or experience:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Application or Software support experience.
- 2+ years experience.
Desirable skills or experience:
- ServiceNow.
- ITIL Framework.
- Powershell.
- Python.
- Experience with Project Management methodologies.
