One of my client's core offerings is a fraud detection software suite, a leading edge solution used to identify fraudulent activity in social networks, rather than individual transactions. To support the ongoing development of this solution, the client has opportunities for graduates with a passion for using Java to solve complex challenges.
Joining their Guildford based Technology Innovation Group, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the product, as well as work across the wider business to help deliver the solution to their clients.
As well as a range of formal training courses, you will be supported by your own career mentor, who will help you achieve your own personal career goals.
Due to the nature of the work the client undertakes, candidates must be eligible for Security clearance - this means that if you don't hold a UK passport you need to have been in residence in the UK for three out of the last five years. Unfortunately candidates who hold IGS, SEGS or HSMP are not eligible for this clearance and so are not able to be submitted to the client for this role.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2.i (or equivalent) in Software Engineering or a related degree, including high levels of Java development
- Strong set of A-Levels (or equivalent)
- Understanding of computer science patterns relating to processing high volumes of data
- Previous experience of working in a team environment
- Analytical approach and a desire for complex problem solving
- Some exposure to JSP and other web based components would be advantageous.
