They're recognised a highly-respected, dynamic conference company based in central London. With an excellent company culture they give the right person the opportunity to develop and progress fast. From day one the successful graduate will take responsibility for their own event, liaising with the marketing, sponsorship and event management teams.
The successful graduate will be responsible for the research and development of four to five strategic, business-to-business conferences per year. The role will involve extensive face-to-face and telephone research with key contacts, analysis of relevant markets, and liaising with senior-level speakers.
Responsibilities include:
- Gather and analyse competitor intelligence in order to establish whether the conference is commercially viable
- Read a wide range of industry journals and publications in order to keep abreast with key business trends
- Conduct telephone research with senior decision-makers from across the industry to identify most relevant commercial issues
- Put together a highly topical and pertinent agenda
- Identify and secure CEO and Ministerial-level speakers
- Work closely with the sponsorship and marketing team to maximise sponsorship and delegate revenue for the conference
- Write promotional copy for the conference brochure
- Co-ordinate efforts with the event management team pre- and post-conference to ensure exceptional delivery on the day
- Liaise with speakers on the day
- Network and build relationships with key industry figures
- Actively seek new business opportunities
Requirements:
- Outstanding academic record - minimum 2:1 honours degree from a good university plus good A-level and GCSE results (or equivalent)
- Proven analytical and creative ability, e.g. experience of undertaking a research project
- Dynamic, highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial flair
- Ability to communicate well with a wide range of people
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Good attention to detail
- A positive attitude and plenty of enthusiasm
