Our client is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world.

You will be working as an Analyst in the credit analytics and decision systems team. The team is responsible for building strategies and systems that ensure that the right people get the right level of credit. This includes both new and existing customers and applies to all products within the bank. This ensures that their customers do not get into bad debt and that the bank makes a profit.

The bank uses decision systems to automate the process. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the decision systems meet the strategies and policies of the bank. You will work on the development, implementation and management of statistical models and scorecards. The role involves large scale data analysis and statistical data modelling. You will help with the decision strategy, produce accurate management information and test that the changes to the systems are working efficiently.

The role will include lots of training in SAS, a market leading analytical tool. There is plenty of scope for progression within the department.

Requirements:

- A degree in Mathematics, Statistics or a related subject
- Strong problem solving skills
- Logical approach
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated and organised
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer and systems literacy
- Evidence of delivery of value through application of statistical and data analysis using mathematical and statistical packages and Excel
- Comfortable with technology. Likely to have used tools like R, SPSS, Matlab, Minitab, SPLUS or ideally SAS.
