A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a bright and motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join my client as a Agricultural Economist and Market Analyst.
The role includes:
- Through economic analysis promote the efficient production, pricing and marketing of UK grain and oilseeds.
- Overseeing the content of all data collection, market and policy analysis publications.
- Monitor changes in market needs and the economics of new product developments.
- The provision of commercial and economic comment on oilseeds and cereals in European countries, including the UK.
- Researching, analysing and communicating agricultural market and policy information, relating particularly to cereals and oilseeds.
- Developing industry contacts, conducting presentations to industry
? Giving farm talks, industry visits, conference presentations and meetings on the oil seeds and cereals industry.
- Maintaining relationships with key players such as government, media and other policy makers.
The essential skills for this role are as follows:
- 2.1 or above in Economics or an agricultural related subject.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Some knowledge of farming or agriculture.
- Some knowledge of cereals and the oilseed market.
- Ideal but not essential is to have some experience in agricultural economics.
