As the 2009 Times 100 Graduate Retail Employer of Choice, Arcadia Group is the UK's largest privately owned fashion retailer with over 28,000 employees, 2,700 outlets and over 400 international stores in 29 different countries. Arcadia's portfolio of brands include seven of the high street best known fashion brands - Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Topman, Topshop and Wallis - along with the shopping concept Outfit.
We currently have exciting opportunities for Merchandise Administration Assistants to join our brands in our Central London head office.
Merchandising is about having fashion's equivalent of a crystal ball - predicting how many of each item we'll sell, in what colour, what size and when. Having enough stock to satisfy demand but not having too many left at the end of the season is a core retailing skill.
This role is the first step to a long-term career in merchandising. A Merchandise Administration Assistant provides crucial administrative support to the Merchandising team, taking an active role by analysing sales, monitoring stock figures and keeping an eye on trends.
In order to be successful in the role you'll need strong analytical and numerical skills, commercial knowledge and the ability to thrive in a fast moving environment, combined with great communication and organisational skills. A fashion, business or numerical related degree qualification is preferred but not essential, and 5 GCSE's or equivalent including Maths and English (Grades A-C).
In return we can offer you a competitive salary, 22 days paid holiday, 25% discount on Group merchandise, exclusive external seasonal discount offers, participation in the company bonus scheme and an excellent pension scheme. You'll also benefit from the support and development to progress your career with us long term.
If you feel you have the energy, experience and enthusiasm for this role, we would love to hear from you!
