As the 2009 Times 100 Graduate Retail Employer of Choice, Arcadia Group is the UK's largest privately owned fashion retailer with over 28,000 employees, 2,700 outlets and over 400 international stores in 29 different countries. Arcadia's portfolio of brands include seven of the high street best known fashion brands - Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Topman, Topshop and Wallis - along with the shopping concept Outfit.
We currently have exciting opportunities for Buyers Administration Assistants to join our brands in our Central London head office.
Able to spot a trend at 100 metres, buyers must anticipate and meet customers' needs by working with suppliers to get the right look into stores at the right time. They'll know what the new black is, how wide your trouser legs should be this season and what looks from the red carpet and the runway will be a hit with their customers.
This role is the first step to a long-term career in buying. A Buyers' Administration Assistant provides crucial administrative support to the Buying team, taking an active role on the buying process by placing product orders, monitoring deliveries and maintaining a sample library.
In order to be successful in the role you'll need to combine creative flair and commercial awareness with great communication and organisational skills. A fashion related degree or equivalent qualification is essential and 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English (grades A-C). If you don't have a fashion related degree, at least 6 months experience within a buying related position is required.
In return we can offer you a competitive salary, 22 days paid holiday, 25% discount on Group merchandise, exclusive external seasonal discount offers, participation in the company bonus scheme and an excellent pension scheme. You'll also benefit from the support and development to progress your career with us long term.
If you feel you have the energy, experience and enthusiasm for this role, we would love to hear from you!
