My client is seeking an ambitious graduate to join their Supply Chain team. This is an influential and pivotal role within the organisation. The successful graduate will be successfully launching new products, as well as managing the exit of products from the market at the least cost to the business.
Responsibilities include:
- The planning of forward production in line with sales forecasts
- Optimisation of turn around ensuring consistent high levels of customer service
- Reacting to fluctuations in output and customer demand - ensuring that changes to the plan are achievable within production capability
- Building inter-departmental relationships with internal customers - particularly Production, Stores, and Statistics
- Utilising and maintaining the internal IT systems
- Tracking and recording of functional performance
- Ordering of critical products and the resolution of any issues around purchase orders ? building and maintaining effective working relationships with core suppliers
- Liaising directly with customer supply team contacts to ensure optimum service level and profitability through sales volume
Requirements:
- A 2:1 or above in your chosen degree discipline
- Numerate and analytical
- Competent utilising Excel
- Communicative and articulate
- Confident
- Ability to work under pressure
- Production, planning or manufacturing experience would be advantageous
