My client is a leading investment bank with ties throughout the world - they have had a hand in the development of many countries' economies. The company's main offerings are Corporate and Investment Banking, Investment Management and Personal Banking. The organisation has a very high standard of corporate governance and the company is dedicated to making a difference in the countries it operates in.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward thinking graduate to join an international banking organisation within the IT team.

This rotational opportunity will offer the successful incumbent exposure to all areas of the bank's IT. The programme is designed to develop your skills as a business technologist. Upon completion of the scheme you will be exposed to a wide range of financial instruments, will be able to fully understand them and will be able to implement solutions in code in order to support them.

The areas of the business that you will be exposed to upon rotation are:

- Back Office Technology
- Enterprise Technology
- Global Markets IT
- Global Programme Office
- Infrastructure Technology International
- Resource Banking IT
- Risk IT and Strategy
- Service Delivery

Rotations through these departments will be both challenging and demanding. You will be expected to develop an understanding of the department and the IT systems that are in use within them. IT is essential to the organisation and drives the business forward so you will therefore be working on projects that are essential to the business from Day 1. You will be assigned a mentor and will also be given comprehensive training, both in technology and business and you will also be able to study toward technology related professional qualifications.

In order to apply it is essential that you have a great interest in IT, code and development in particular. You do not need to come from a technical related degree (although it will be advantageous) but exposure to code and development either as part of your degree or on extra-curricular projects is essential.

Other skills required:

- Exceptional communication skills - both written and oral
- The ability to work on numerous projects at one time
- The ability to forge relationships across departments throughout the bank
- A genuine desire to work within technology
- Knowledge of the financial sector - particularly finance in emerging markets.
