Morgan Stanley is a true global citizen, with offices around the world where talented, passionate people bring excellence and integrity to everything we do. Our vision and goals can only be achieved through hiring, training and rewarding the best people. We believe attitude is just as important as aptitude. We want to work with and develop students and graduates who show integrity and commitment to our core values, who share our commitment to providing first-class service to clients and who are open to innovation.
Our 1-week Spring Insight Programme is designed for those of you who have just embarked on your University course and wish to explore the different areas at Morgan Stanley prior to qualifying for a summer internship or industrial placement the following year. The programme is a great opportunity for you to gain a thorough insight into the various divisions into which we recruit, our working environment, people and culture as well as explore the type of work you could be doing if you joined as an analyst.
Placement and duration
Morgan Stanley offers two Spring Insight Programmes: the Institutional Securities and the Technology Spring Insight Programme.
The Institutional Securities Spring Insight runs for one week. In the first two days you will receive an overview of the various divisions that make up our Institutional Securities Group (ISG), including Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets (GCM), Sales and Trading, and Equity Research. You will then have the opportunity to choose the division in which you wish to spend the remainder of the week.
The Technology Spring Insight Programme runs for three days and will provide you with an overview of how Technology works within Morgan Stanley and the important role it plays at the firm. You will gain an insight into the different departments within the division including Institutional Securities Technology (IST), Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) and Technology and Information Risk (TIR).
Both Programmes are held in London in March 2017 (dates to be confirmed).
Training programme
The Programme consists of a mix of lecture-based sessions, educational activities, workshops and case studies, as well as the opportunity to work shadow in the division of your choice. Throughout the week, you will build on the skills necessary for a successful career in Institutional Securities or Technology. You will meet and network with Morgan Stanley employees from across all corporate levels and at the end of the programme could even have the opportunity to be fast-tracked to a summer/industrial placement the following year.
