Recycling Advisors required in Torbay
Recycling Advisors (x5, temporary positions for 6 weeks) are needed for an exciting project working in Torbay, helping residents use a new recycling collection service and encouraging them to recycle more.
This is a great way to get some hands on experience in environmental research and communication, and get an insight into modern waste management.
Tor2, a partnership between Torbay Council and May Gurney with support from Resource Futures are introducing a new recycling service.
The recycling advisors will go door to door speaking to residents about the new kerbside recycling scheme and helping them to understand the service, get involved and recycle more.
The main duties of the Recycling Advisors will include:
- Informing the residents in the full use of the new kerbside recycling collection services
- Recording any problems or barriers householders are experiencing

The work is temporary; training day is Tuesday 17th August, then starting immediately after (18th of August) for approximately 6 weeks. The work is based in Torbay.
Work is 5 days per week from Tuesday to Saturday. Hours are 13:00 and 19:00 Tues to Fri and 11:00 and 17:00 on Saturdays.
