To provide a professional call handling service by dealing sensitively with a diverse customer base and by maintaining confidentiality at all times, responding and prioritising emergency telecare calls by operating the computerised call handling equipment to standards set by the Telecare Services Association
To respond to other callers including those using the Authority’s out of hours homelessness service
To maintain and update the client information systems both manual and computerised, and ensure accuracy of records for all users of the systems.
To liaise with and provide appropriate information to relevant staff, departments and agencies to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service.
Candidates must have previous experience of handling a high volume of calls, and working well under pressure
