Social care is all about caring for vulnerable members of society. Social workers account for a large chunk of the sector but there are also allied professions such as occupational therapy, counselling, residential care and advice-giving.
To become a social worker you need an approved professional qualification. If you've got an undergraduate social work degree then you're ready to apply, but if your degree is another subject all is not lots. There are lots of postgraduate courses available, which will help you on your way. Some courses might require applicants to have done some relevant work experience.
