Nottingham Business School is proud to offer an intensive, relevant, high quality international MBA. Our full-time MBA (12 month) and Executive MBA (24 month) blends theory with application and experiential learning in a unique multi-stage, three-dimensional framework. Offering two live in-company consultancy projects, for which you receive a total of £800 back from your fees, the programme has been designed to prepare you to handle a wide range of challenges inherent in managing and leading contemporary organisations.
Stage 1 includes a detailed introduction to the MBA, its content, assessment and character. There are workshops on academic and business writing, an experiential management development activity (which takes place outside of the business school), and introductory team-based activities.
Stage 2 is structured around a core curriculum providing a comprehensive foundation across all the main subjects involved in business administration. There are eight compulsory modules at this stage.
Delivered by leading academics from NBS? international faculty, each module also invites an executive guest speaker to share their experiences and to discuss the issues that have arisen while they have implemented a topic covered on the module.
Stage 3 provides an opportunity to choose subjects of specific interest for study at a greater level of depth. Students choose four electives in total.
This stage of the MBA also provides for a UK-based team consultancy project and a second International Team Consultancy Project. These projects are challenging and accelerate learning through application.
Stage 4 requires students to undertake a major individual piece of work in the form of a Business Project or Dissertation through which they identify and research a relevant management research question.
Additional features of our programme, include a Personal and Professional Development Programme (PPD) and a strategic Career Management Programme (CMP).
As such, the Nottingham Business School MBA curriculum has interwoven conceptual, contextual, professional and personal development elements designed to stretch and develop your capabilities to prepare you to make informed management decisions benefiting individuals, organisations and society. It meets the value-added proposition that is sought by organisations when they employ managers with MBAs.

Nottingham is one of the top five UK destinations and is bursting with an eclectic mix of boutiques and leading brands. Nottingham's strong independent niche offer, clustered in the Lace Market and Bridlesmith Gate areas, is one of the city's most distinguishing features. Vivienne Westwood, Diesel, Ted Baker, Kurt Geiger, Hugo Boss, Paul Smith, MAC and L'Octainne are to name but a few of the leading designer names already in Nottingham.
As a top city, Nottingham has over 1,100 retail outlets set in striking historic and distinctive new buildings surrounded by cobbled pedestrian zones. All of this gives a number of retail opportunities and makes Nottingham one of the most popular retail locations in the UK.
CACI has released its annual ranking of the UK's top retail locations and Nottingham has now climbed to 5th place in the UK with a retail spend figure £1.81bn ahead of Leeds, Westfield London and Newcastle Upon Tyne.
