Nestle Graduate Marketing Programme
Nestle Marketing Teams know that it takes more than a funky logo and a great taste to create a superstar product or brand. Passion, commitment, talent and flair are just a slice of what Nestle marketing teams and graduates throw into their marketing roles.
As a marketing graduate within Nestle you will drive some of the world's most talked about brands and help bring new ones to the limelight, to stand alongside family favourites like NESCAFÉ, KitKat and Shredded Wheat.
Nestle have one of the largest FMCG Marketing teams in the UK. Graduates will be handed responsibility as soon as they are ready for it and get stuck into real work on real brands, all alongside some of the best people in the business.
Nestle's graduate programme includes opportunities within Nestlé UK and Nestle associated companies, Cereal Partners and Purina Petcare. Over time, graduates have the opportunity to test their growing skills on everything from confectionery and cereal to petfood. Once graduates have launched enough innovative products and revitalised a range of leading brands. Nestle are hoping their graduates will go on to become one of Nestle Senior Marketing Managers.
Nestle Graduate Finance Programme
Nestle Finance graduates do a lot more than tot up the numbers and balance the books. Nestle recruit and develop only the most outstanding graduates to support the continued success of one of the largest FMCG companies in the UK.
A graduate will spend the first three years in at least three placements, split between Nestle Croydon Head Office and manufacturing sites. Those placements could see graduates supporting a factory controller, assisting in costing new products and promotions or consolidating Nestle's corporate accounts.
Nestle provide full support to help graduates study and pass the CIMA qualification. Graduates are offered generous study leave and financial support, but will need to show tenacity and commitment to manage this alongside a full-time job. Nestle are taking on just a few graduates; so only apply if you consider yourself the very best.
Nestle Graduate Supply Chain Programme
Nestle have got a tremendous amount to offer a talented, commercially-savvy graduate interested in supply chain. For a start there's an 18-month rotation programme within the Nestle Graduate Supply Chain Programme. Graduates receive at least three front-line roles and exposure to the entire Nestle supply chain, where graduates will be called upon to make crucial decisions, run high-value projects and deal with senior people within Nestle.
Graduates could be involved in purchasing - researching and analysing supply markets, discovering alternative products and sourcing new suppliers. This will see graduates hone their negotiation skills, draft contracts and develop very productive supplier relationships.
Graduates could be involved in planning - This is all about understanding the huge range of factors that influence product demand and interpreting information to develop robust plans. Graduates won't just be concerned with creating an agreed sales forecast/business plan, graduates find themselves deciding where and when products are made, and where they need to be sent.
Graduates could be involved in the physical supply chain - in distribution, where they'll address vital warehouse issues, be responsible for distribution centre output and manage the transport fleets. Or alternatively, customer service could be spot on. Here, graduates will be involved in everything from order capture to customer stock levels, overseeing promotional orders to understanding the impact on Nestlé of changes to customer supply chains.
Wherever the rotations take graduates, they'll have to come to terms with a very intense, results-focused, deadline-driven culture.
Nestle Graduate Production and Technical Programme
Whether graduates are aiming to become a world-renowned business manager or are more interested in pursuing a reputation as a first-class technical supremo, Nestle will see that you excel, and then some. By creating an environment where everything is geared up to help those with real talent and ambition achieve great things faster than they ever thought possible.
Here is a sneak preview into the areas graduates can really make an impact within the production and technical graduate programmes!
Engineering
As well as being one immensely important round-the-clock operation, this is an impressively broad area of Nestle's work too. To meet demand for a 24-hour production line, various on-site teams ensure the machinery's in tip-top condition at all times, assessing, overhauling and replacing machinery with as small a hitch as possible. With a can-do attitude and enthusiasm for seeing each project through.
Packaging / Product Development
Working side-by-side with Marketing, Nestle Technical bods get plenty of opportunity to show off their analytical and critical skills as they introduce innovative production methods and lead the development of new products. Utilising consumer insights as well as rigorous feasibility studies, pilots and testing schemes, they ensure we keep up with demand when the latest advertising campaigns and promotions go live. All pretty vital with a world-famous reputation to upkeep.
Quality Management
From pesticide standards way down Nestle supply chain to taste-testing and storage conditions, our dedicated Quality Management teams have three very broad tasks: to ensure Nestle products are safe for consumers; to see that they fulfil high expectations; and that they also meet stringent UK and EU standards. Join Nestle's team and your work will be appreciated by marketeers, factory managers and logistics experts, to name but a few. Graduates could move into food science or regulation, but there's so much to learn and do in Quality Management, graduates may never need to leave.
Manufacturing Performance
Whether its people, processes or the machines themselves, this team thrives on seeing that everything than can be made faster, more accurate, more resilient and more reliable. With best practice research as their guide, graduates will be a consultant figure here, using both technical and people skills as they work with teams to develop methodologies. Graduates draw up cost and benefit analyses, whatever it takes to highlight the impact the changes will make. After that, all that's left is to implement them and stand back proudly.
Nestle Graduate Sales Programme
A large part of Nestlé's success is down to the way they work with their customers, retail outlets nationwide, from the largest supermarket to the smallest convenience stores.
Nestle's strategy is not down to the hard sell - it's about developing a long-term and genuine rapport with our contacts, and gaining their trust. From something as simple as putting a new display stand up, to delivering new product launch in store, this role is all about fulfilling the individual needs of our customers
Graduates kick things off with around 12 months in a Field Sales role, followed by 12-18 months in one of our Customer Business Teams looking after key accounts. After this, graduates either move into a more senior Customer Business Manager role, or possible into Nestle's CCSD - Channel Category Sales Development - function. CCSD is a strategic function with input from marketing and finance, working together across a product area or channel. All in all, it's Nestle's mission to identify, recruit, retain and develop exceptional Sales leaders; finding graduates who can deliver the goods and impress a lot more than just our team. If you want to be among them, this is your chance
Nestle Graduate HR Programme
You won't find a more exciting sector in which to kick-start your HR career than FMCG. It's fast moving, demands are high and competition is fierce.
This is no ordinary HR career path. For the very best, Nestle offer the chance to progress into a vital business role at the end of a two-year programme designed to give you faultless all-round expertise. We're looking for graduates who can go to the very top, not just those after an everyday graduate job.
