We are looking for the future leaders and business managers of ICI- the next generation of high fliers with the talent, ambition and determination to generate a uniquely challenging and rewarding career. In short, we are looking for the best and our standards are high.

Basics

While we are a global company, the business language is English, which you must be able to speak fluently. To join ICI European Graduate Development Programme you must be eligible to work and live in the EU on the permanent basis.

Qualifications

For most positions we will consider candidates regardless of degree subject, as long as you achieve or are expected to achieve at least a 2:1 in the UK, or an equivalent.

For more specific requirements please see the vacancies.

For example: opportunities in Engineering may require you to have an engineering background, preferably in chemical, mechanical process or manufacturing engineering; and for some opportunities in our Research and Development function you will need a chemistry or polymer science degree, in addition a relevant PhD is often desirable, but not essential.

Programmes for graduate recruits

We have a number of programmes that offer graduate recruits the opportunity to gain experience and develop business and functional skills and knowledge beyond their immediate, day-to-day business roles.

Graduate recruits in ICI Paints in China, for example, spend 12 months on a structured assignment in one our global Paints businesses outside China. These recruits undertake a cross-business/cross-functional project, developing broader business insights and understanding.

For recent graduate recruits in Europe, the ICI European Graduate Development Programme aims to generate a sense of belonging to the wider AkzoNobel Group through four events held in locations across Europe.

These events are designed to be highly participative and provide practical and stimulating insights into topics of interest for future business leaders.
