A brief insight into an ICI Supply Chain job function

Supply Chain management makes a huge contribution to our performance, adding value in all areas. It is a strategic discipline that analyses and anticipates our needs, ensuring that the infrastructure and supply relationships are in position to support both current activities and future plans.

Type of work
Our Supply Chain professionals are involved in every part of the supply chain process, from planning and scheduling to manufacturing and delivering. Ultimately, they are responsible for taking raw materials and turning them into a final product ready for distribution.

As a Supply Chain manager your responsibilities may include overseeing the teams of people that facilitate production, as well as monitoring and ensuring that output, quality, safety, cost and environmental impact specifications are met on a daily basis.

Training and development
Experience in Supply Chain will provide you with an excellent foundation for senior management roles throughout ICI. However, it will be up to you to take responsibility for your own development. In return we are committed to providing you with whatever training you need, which in the case of some of our opportunities, includes support to achieve chartered status.

What we're looking for
Supply Chain is a complex function that demands an appreciation of all the commercial and technical issues that define our business. If you are to be successful in Supply Chain you will need first class skills in communication and project management alongside your excellent engineering degree. Please check the specific engineering requirements on each of our opportunities.
