A brief insight into an ICI Sales job function
The quality of the relationships we enjoy with our top customers worldwide is the key to our success. As customer-supplier relationships become more and more like real partnerships, the Sales function has developed into the pivotal link between ICI and the outside world.

Type of work
Working independently within a demanding, fast-moving marketplace, our Sales professionals are responsible for using their initiative to promote our products and build profitable and lasting relationships and partnerships with a wide variety of customers.

You may find yourself in a business-to-business environment, working with companies who use ICI ingredients in their products, or you may work with retailers to position our products in shops the world over. You may even deal directly with the final consumers through our links with customers in the decorating trade.

Training and development
Where you go and how you develop is largely up to you. As one of our future leaders we expect you to take a significant role in driving your own career forward. We will support you in this effort by providing the training opportunities you may need, which may include studying for CIM qualifications.

What we're looking for
We consider any degree subject, but skills such as creativity, communication and the ability to deal with highly complex issues and thrive under the pressure of fast-moving situations and tight deadlines are essential. Whilst not strictly required, a technical background is also useful for a number of roles.
