Briefly describe your role within the company.

I am into my second year on the General Management Graduate Scheme. This involves carrying out placements with the various divisions of GrantRail; this has provided me with an insight into what unique activities each area gets involved in. The tasks and activities I have undertaken have been both varied and interesting, widening my scope of knowledge and understanding of the railway industry.

What is your background (e.g. education, Qualifications, previous rail experience)? |
I have an MA in Business Management as well as a BA in Business and Information Management.
Before I joined GrantRail I had no experience of the rail industry. |
What attracted you to GrantRail and what do you now enjoy about working at GrantRail? |
I was attracted by the opportunity to learn about the many different aspects of the business instead of just going straight into a specific role. Particularly within a diverse company like GrantRail the exposure to different aspects of its operations has provided me with invaluable experience. I enjoy the challenge of being given new and diverse projects to be involved in. |
