Overview...
Our management team helps us to meet the challenges of the future. They look at how best to increase network capacity, upgrade railway stock to meet 21st century demands, and deliver multi-billion pound investment on time, in scope and on budget.
Entry requirements...
You must have a 2:2 (or higher) degree in any discipline, but we're looking for candidates who can also:
• Work at any of our locations in London
•Demonstrate high standards of written and verbal communication
•Show good analytical, problem solving and inductive reasoning (ability to deal with ambiguous data) skills
•Embrace change
•Collaborate with colleagues, share your information, knowledge and skills
•Focus strongly on internal and external customers
•Show a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
•Work on your own initiative, seeking out new opportunities for learning, career progression and challenges
•Identify project goals and work towards them
•Demonstrate a structured and methodical approach to tasks, identifying priorities and setting deadlines
At application stage we'll ask you to express an interest in the area you'd like to work in. This could either be customer service operations, or service development. This is purely an expression of interest and there'll be plenty of scope to discuss the options and suitability in more depth at assessment stage.
Applying...
We can only accept one application per candidate, so please think carefully about which scheme is right for you before submitting. It will not be possible to transfer your application to a different scheme.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, but we recommend applying early.
Joining us...
When you join us on this scheme, one of your first placements will be as a supervisor, running a central station and managing a number of staff: you'll listen, negotiate and inspire - often at the same time. Thousands of passengers could come to you with almost any issue, and you'll need to say calm, resilient, and decisive.
After this initial period, you'll begin to focus more on your chosen area. You'll have the option to explore both Tube and Rail divisions, so you can then choose the most suitable challenge. Please remember that you will be typically involved in shift work that's likely to include working some nights and weekends (usually 3-4 months). This is a core part of the scheme, so think carefully about it before you apply.
