Are you looking for a career in Consultancy?
Who are we?
Thomsons Online Benefits has revolutionised the employee benefits markets over the last 10 years by combining our award winning technology with the best people.
We work with fantastic clients, some of the best in the world in their field – from 6 of the 10 biggest tech companies by market capitalisation, to smaller niche players; we understand the technology sector better than
anyone else in our industry.
Our award winning technology – Darwin – allows employees to choose their own benefits package online. It also helps HR and Payroll teams to administer their data simply and securely, and HR Directors to save costs to make strategic benefit decisions. We design engaging benefit brands to encourage employees to login and can act as a benefit broker to our Clients.
We are a one-stop shop for these services which makes us unique in our market.
We have 500,000 users in 60 different countries. We have seen huge growth in revenue in the last 3 years and have over 300 people working in vibrant, dynamic and friendly offices in London, Singapore, Romania and San Francisco.
Our core values sum up who we are and what we strive for: Being Brilliant Together, Maximising Potential and Challenging Everything to Deliver Excellence.
Who are you?
We are looking for bright, passionate and friendly people who genuinely want to work with Technology and data in the employee benefits market.
You are a graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree, preferably in an IT or Business Systems related subject or Economics.
And what else do we look for?
• You have a clear desire to help Clients understand our technology and deliver the right solution for them;
• You have a thirst for learning and building up your experience as a Consultant from the ground-up, not doing something once and calling yourself an expert;
• You have an eye for detail and understand the importance of testing and troubleshooting your own work so you can deliver your best first time;
• You’re methodical and logical in your approach to your work, and flexible and nimble when required;
• You don’t just raise problems, you suggest solutions;
• You’re confident but not pushy, friendly and professional.
Our Clients expect solid experience and expert knowledge and we’ll give you the training, experience and support to get you there.
Where we’ll take you...
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow as a technology delivery consultant.
We’ll train you to listen to what our Clients want, ask the right questions and provide them with expert opinion. You’ll guide them in their decision making and deliver full end-end solutions using our technology, Darwin.
We’ll train you on how to Project Manage client projects and guide Clients through the process using core skills such as managing risks and controlling budgets.
You’ll learn how to talk to and communicate with Clients at different levels in the organisation, as well as internally at Thomsons with colleagues and Managers.
We’ll teach you about the employee benefits market and the business challenges our Clients face.
Our aim is that you’ll be running your own projects within 18 months of joining us, and you’ll have the skills and confidence to do this. Sounds exciting doesn’t it?
A flavour of what you’ll do...
You’ll start at the beginning; learning the technology. We believe you can’t be a Consultant if you don’t know your product.
You’ll configure Darwin™, you’ll learn how to troubleshoot and problem solve. You’ll learn how important data is to any technology system and how to help Clients understand this. You’ll support Client testing, often under very tight deadlines. You’ll use our delivery methodology (ID3) to manage your project and write requirements and design documents.
You’ll participate in Client meetings from the earliest opportunity so you can start to learn key Client skills.
You’ll work with many different teams internally at Thomsons to provide the right solution for our Clients, and be able to explain to Clients what we offer and how it’s delivered.
How we’ll reward you...
We take benefits pretty seriously, so as well as 25 days of holiday a year (and the ability to buy or sell this to suit your lifestyle), a generous matched pension, PMI, Dental, we also offer the following fantastic benefits:
Personal Learning Account – We’ll give you up to £50 per month towards something you like to do outside of work, whether that’s gym membership, learning a new language or any personal development you might be undertaking – we want to maximise your potential outside of work as well.
Taste Card – A free card that gives you access to discounts at thousands of restaurants in England.
Health Screening – We want to look after you. It’s in our best interests after all. So it’s handy that you can get an annual health check-up right here in the office. A healthcare professional will come in and make sure you’re in tip-top condition.
Our Pay it Forward programme will match any donations you raise for charity events by up to £500.
As well as this we have daily free fruit in the office, an annual conference that the whole company attends rounded off by a very competitive fancy dress night, an annual People Awards evening, team events and in September 2014 we are encouraging everyone in the company to do the ‘Thames Challenge’ with support and training to help you succeed.
We want to hear from you so click the apply button below and send a CV and covering letter today!
